Sunday: Winter Park Resort hosts Golden Bunny Classic and all day activities in Discovery Park beginning at 8:30am, Sol Vista Ski Basin is having an egg hunt at 2pm around Base Camp Lodge, and church services are throughout the county.

We’re reclaiming Colorado’s winter games glory March 7-8. Teams of four compete for fame, honor and bragging rights in the Snowbladecross, Gaper Park Challenge, and Old School Team Challenge. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams with the best combined score. First place takes home $1,976 and four Rocky Mountain Super Passes! Prizes will also be given for best costumes and team mojo. Plus, every competitor receives a 1976 Gaper Hat and white turtleneck. Grand Lake’s 4th Annual Snowshoe Festival is this weekend. Sat. January 19: 5k race at 10am (starts and ends in Town Park). Kids Race & Local Celebrity Challenge will follow the 5k Race in Town Park. Other events include: free sleigh rides at Winding River Resort, Full Moon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe with Grand Lake Metropolitan Rec.
