Panoramic Express
The “Panoramic Express” is the name given to the new $8 million detachable six-pack chairlift at Winter Park Resort. The resort and it’s partners at the U.S. Forest Service, and the Sulphur Ranger District have been commited to using the best management practices to minimize ground disturbances in sensitive tundra vegetation while building this amazing lift. The new Leitne-Poma state-of-the-art will hoist skiers up to approximately 12,060 feet above sea level, making it the highest, high-speed six-pack chairlift in all of North America. Giving the timing of this new chairlift addition the riders and skiers at Winter Park Resort will have the unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of the construction process which will include helicopters and over-snow equipment.
