Winter Park Resort is excited to announce the start of construction on what will be the highest, high-speed six-pack chairlift in North America – the Panoramic Express. Located on Mary Jane Mountain, the Panoramic Express will start near the Sunnyside chairlift boarding terminal and run to the top of Parsenn Bowl, to an elevation of 12,060 feet. Skiers and riders visiting Winter Park Resort from now until closing day on April 15, 2007, will likely see this development taking place in the distance. Just as our snow conditions are perfect for spring skiing, they’re even better for chairlift construction in that our crews can now work on top of over 19 feet of snow versus delicate top soil.
